Certain school subjects are most definitely lumped in this category. Just because we are homeschooled doesn\u2019t mean we have to love every test and assignment, right?<\/p>\n<p><strong>So how do you handle a subject you dislike or even detest?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1318\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myschoolyear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Depositphotos_13135005_original.smaller.jpg\" alt=\"Study on the Porch\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.myschoolyear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Depositphotos_13135005_original.smaller.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.myschoolyear.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Depositphotos_13135005_original.smaller-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>First off, don\u2019t save this subject for last.<br \/>\n<\/strong>You don\u2019t have to do it first, but don\u2019t push it to the end. If you save it for last, you\u2019ll find it takes twice as long as you waste time wishing the subject was over already and dragging it out. Put this subject higher up on your school schedule when planning your day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secondly, consider splitting the subject up &#8211; if you can &#8211; into different parts.<\/strong><br \/>\nTake each of these parts one at a time and work them in between other subjects, breaks, meals, etc. However, you might find this tactic doesn\u2019t work for you if\u00a0you would rather sit down and power through the whole thing at once. That&#8217;s fine, everyone\u2019s different.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finally, find a way to make this subject more fun.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis could mean doing your math outside on the porch, reading your history while sipping lemonade, or playing music at a low volume while working on your grammar. Don&#8217;t go over the top but don&#8217;t be afraid to try new things.
