After getting ready for the day, I get out my to-do list journal.

7:20 a.m.- I write down all the things I have to accomplish that day including schoolwork, Mass, babysitting or tutoring jobs, and free time projects. I can see exactly what I have going on that day and remember the little tasks.

7:30 a.m.- After making my list, I usually start off with Religion, which currently is reading parts of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Usually after this subject, I move on to Literature, History, or Science.

9:00 a.m.- I head downstairs, put away the dishes and brew some tea. Then I’ll sit down with it and eat breakfast and unwind for a few minutes while taking a short break from school. If I have any laundry to put in the washer, I get that started after breakfast.

11:30 a.m.- I continue with school until about 11:30 if it’s Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. At this time I get ready for church and head off to noon Mass. After Mass, I come home and make lunch. I’ll also transfer my wet clothes to the dryer as needed.

1:00 p.m.- Come home from Mass and eat lunch. After lunch, I will continue with school until around 2:30. Then, I’ll run off to the gym for an hour to de-stress and knock out P.E. After coming home, I’ll shower and finish any last minute school or testing prep for the SAT or ACT.

4:30 p.m.- If I’m making dinner, I’ll head back to the kitchen and prep the meal. If not, I’ll finish up other duties and sit down to dinner later. After dinner, I spend some time cleaning up my room and putting things away from the school day.

7:30 p.m.- Usually the rest of my evening is free unless I happen to have more schoolwork or am babysitting that night. Otherwise, I might chat with friends, read a book, knock out a few chores, or attend my acting class.

While high school is a busy time, we have the same amount of hours as everyone else.
