Calendar: Extra Curricular Activities<\/h2>\n

What is it?<\/strong>\u00a0The Calendar can now display your students’\u00a0Extra Curricular Activities<\/strong>, or “Activity” for short in this blog article.<\/p>\n

How it works.<\/strong>\u00a0By default, the Activity is\u00a0not<\/strong> set to display on the Calendar so you must first enable it.<\/p>\n

\"Include<\/p>\n

When you allow an Activity to be displayed, you have some basic scheduling options available to you. You can set which day or days of the week it occurs as well as the time slot it typically takes. If an End Date is not provided, the Activity will continue into future months until an End Date is entered.<\/p>\n

Once you select\u00a0the Activity to appear and save your scheduling options, your Activity will now appear in the Calendar.<\/p>\n

Display Extra Curricular Activities on the Calendar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

What is this for?<\/strong>\u00a0Allowing\u00a0an Activity to appear on the Calendar is helpful\u00a0to remind you and your student of other commitments aside from the “normal”\u00a0class\u00a0lessons.<\/p>\n

Calendar: Event Time Slots<\/h2>\n

What is it?<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Event record now contains Start and End Time fields. Those times are now used\u00a0when that Event is displayed on the Calendar.<\/p>\n

\"New<\/p>\n

How it works.<\/strong>\u00a0If you enter in a specific time or time range of an event, the event will appear on the Calendar within that specified time slot. Previously, events were listed under the “all day” section of the Calendar. The option to keep the Event as an “all day” event is still available. To accomplish that, either leave the Event Time fields\u00a0blank or set both times to 12:00 AM.<\/p>\n

Calendar:\u00a0Day Off Designation<\/h2>\n

What is it?<\/strong>\u00a0The Calendar displays the designation on your Scheduled Days Off\u00a0.<\/p>\n

How it works.<\/strong>\u00a0When you set up your Term and provide a list of Scheduled Days Off, the Calendar will now display those days off.<\/p>\n

Extra Curricular Activity Report Enhanced<\/h2>\n

What is it?<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Extra Curricular Activity report was enhanced in 2 ways.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. When creating a report, you can now use our new buttons of “select all<\/strong>” and “un-select all<\/strong>” for Activity\u00a0Types.<\/li>\n
  2. Extra Curricular Activities can now be grouped by Activity\u00a0Type<\/strong> or by End Date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How it works.<\/strong>\u00a0Please see corresponding numbered\u00a0points.<\/p>\n

    1. When you click “select all<\/strong>” volunteer types, all activity\u00a0types will be selected and will be included in the report. When you click “un-select all<\/strong>” activity\u00a0types, all activity\u00a0types will be excluded from the report.<\/li>\n
    2. By selecting “By End Date<\/strong>” report type, all activities will be grouped by the year the activity ended. This report type\u00a0is helpful when a chronology of activities is needed, e.g. college and scholarship applications. By selecting “By Type”<\/strong> report type, all activities will be grouped by the activity\u00a0type that it is classified by, e.g. Organization, Volunteer, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
